Terms of use
What DoNotLeak does for you, what it does not guarantee, and what remains your decision.
Purpose
These terms govern the use of the DoNotLeak service, available at donotleak.contee.eu and published by AQ INVESTISSEMENTS, which runs its software business under the trade name Contee (“Contee” below; see the legal notice).
The service
DoNotLeak detects personal and sensitive data in a text or a document and replaces it, so that you can submit it to an artificial intelligence without exposing it. It is an aid, provided as is, with no guarantee of result.
Imperfect detection
Detection relies on rules and reference lists: it can miss a value or flag one wrongly. You review the result before using it.
Your decision, your responsibility
You decide what you send to an artificial intelligence or to any other service, and you remain responsible for it, as for your own obligations: your organization’s rules, confidentiality commitments, GDPR.
Your data
The scanned text is processed in memory for the time of the scan, then forgotten: it is neither stored nor logged. No account is needed. Your acceptance of these terms is kept in your browser only.
Fair and reasonable use
You do not use the service to process unlawful content, nor to disrupt it: load tests, circumventing its limits, automated extraction outside the interface provided for it. The interface is designed for human use, at a reasonable frequency; using it through a robot or a script beyond one request per second is forbidden. For automated use, contact Contee.
Suspension of access
If these terms are not respected, Contee may limit, suspend or block access to the service, in particular by IP address, temporarily or permanently and without notice.
Liability
Within the limits allowed by law, Contee is not liable for the consequences of using the service, in particular a value left undetected or the use you make of the text produced. This limitation applies neither to gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor to the rights the law grants consumers.
Availability
The service may be interrupted or changed at any time, in particular for maintenance or security reasons.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Each version is dated; a new version is presented to you for acceptance before your next scan.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers.
